Awhile back I had an idea for an illustration that I wanted to use for a sympathy pet card, but as I was sketching I realized that it was just too much detail for an A2 size greeting card. So that idea is on the back burner for now.

Then the other day, I was in need for a card for this situation, and I never found one that felt quite right to me. Disappointed, that I couldn’t find a card, on my way home from shopping, an idea came to mind. I started sketching again and went straight to the iPad. As an artist, you know you have it right, when you create something, think about who it’s for and tears come to your eyes. Definitely a bittersweet project for me.
